Daytime Postpartum Doula Services in Lancaster, PA

Postpartum healing begins when the mother is cared for, too

My role as your postpartum doula is to help you rest, heal, process, and settle into motherhood, because that doesn’t happen alone.

After birth, your body & heart are navigating one of the most profound transitions of your life. While so much attention naturally shifts to your baby, you deserve to be cared for, too. I believe when the mom is cared for, she can then more fully care for her baby.

Although the majority of my current work focus is on birth classes and birth support, I see a big gaping hole in the support available to moms who are postpartum. While my focus will still mainly stay focused on birth, every week I have a few days in my schedule that are open, and I want to open that up to support for newly postpartum moms.

Whether you're navigating physical recovery and need sitz baths prep or peri steams set up, I’ll take care of that. If you are struggling with breastfeeding, I’ll be with you to give simple tips and suggestions. If you had an amazing or challenging birth and need to talk about, I’ll make us some tea, prep a foot soak, and we will talk about it! Maybe you just need a shower, someone to prep dinner, and a load of laundry taken care of, I got you!

You don't have to do it all alone. You were created to be supported, too.

I’m Karissa!

I am a Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, AND postpartum doula with a deep passion for mothers. To me, birth is more than a medical event; it’s a sacred gift from God, designed to be honored and protected. Postpartum is no different. It is a time to heal and bond, but that’s HARD to do alone or with little support

Over the past couple of years, I have worked as a birth doula, birth assistant to a homebirth midwife, nanny, and postpartum doula. Although I’ve taken a break from being a nanny and postpartum doula for a while, I see a huge need and want to open my availability for that again. It will be limited, but I’m super excited to dive back into this again.

I’d love to connect face-to-face and see if we’re the right fit.
