What if everything you've been told about birth is incomplete?
Like many women, I grew up believing birth was miserable and terrible—not something beautiful and peaceful.
From the time I was in high school, I loved learning about birth and binged YouTube birth vlogs, but every story I heard seemed full of fear, emergencies, and trauma. I couldn't help wondering...
I began to ask, did God really design it this way?
And if I’m being honest, birth kinda scared me.
Becoming a doula changed everything.
As I studied physiological birth and stood with over 100 women through all kinds of labors (homebirths, VBACs, unmedicated hospital births, epidural births, C-sections), I began to see that birth isn't simply a medical event to manage.
It's physical.
It's emotional.
It's deeply spiritual & sacred.
I've watched women discover strength they never knew they had. I've seen fear replaced with peace. I've witnessed the presence of God fill birth rooms in ways I'll never forget
I also sadly watched that be stolen from many women through fear, lies, and coercion in their most vulnerable state.
Birth quickly became one of the clearest pictures of surrender, courage, and God's faithfulness I've ever experienced…
…and it needs to be protected
My hope isn't simply that you have a healthy baby, but also that years from now, when you tell your birth story, you remember feeling
Strong instead of powerless...
Peaceful instead of fearful...
Supported instead of alone...
And that in one of life's most sacred moments, you experienced the nearness and faithfulness of God like never before

If We Work Together, Here's What You Can Count On:
1. Jesus is the center of everything. I believe God intentionally designed women's bodies for birth, and motherhood is an invitation to draw closer to Him.
2. Midwives are the experts in low-risk pregnancy & natural birth. I believe your provider's philosophy should align with the birth you're hoping to have.
3. True informed consent means you are presented with all of your options, given the actual numbers—not just relative risk—and are free to say "yes" or "no" without pressure, coercion, or guilt.
4. Many “normal” protocols in hospitals, birth centers, and sometimes even in homebirths, disrupt physiological birth.
5. Saying "all that matters is a healthy baby" is an incomplete view of birth. A mother's emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being are equally important.
6. Fathers have an irreplaceable role during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
7. Breastfeeding is one of the most beautiful, sacrificial gifts a mother can give her baby.
8. A pregnant & laboring mother is the authority in the room—not the doctor, midwife, nurse, or doula. Everyone works for you.
9. Placenta encapsulation isn't necessary for a healthy postpartum recovery. Adequate support, warm and nourishing foods, fresh air and sunshine, and as much rest as possible are some of the best medicine for healing after birth.
10. For breastfed babies, I believe co-sleeping is normal, natural, and safe.
