But what if I told you… birth is actually incredible. And pain is helpful, and doesn’t have to be silenced by an epidural! And personalized care midwives provide ACTUALLY make a huge, long-term difference!! And your body is so smart; even if you don’t know what to do in birth, your body does!!
You see, it’s part of God’s divine design, a process that shapes so much more than one day. How you give birth impacts your breastfeeding journey, your mental health, your confidence as a mother, and even your baby’s nervous system!! That’s why BIRTH MATTERS!

HOME OR HOSPITAL?
It’s difficult to attempt a natural birth in a hospital because it is fundamentally a different mindset than homebirth.
BIRTH IN THE HOSPITAL is designed to manage risk and respond quickly when something goes wrong. Although the close management hospitals provide are great in certain situations, when every pregnancy is treated as high risk, it leads to many unnecessary interruptions to the natural process of labor.
PHYSIOLOGICAL BIRTH AT HOME relies on trusting the body, woman, and our Creator. Physiological birth requires patience, privacy, and a sense of safety. The beautiful birth videos online that look so peaceful and worshipful don’t happen by chance. It happens when a woman is supported in an environment that allows her body to do what it was designed to do.
At its foundation, one is built on fear and the other trust. One side is focused on managing outcomes, liability, and making money; the other is focused on presence, intuition, and allowing labor to unfold the way God intelligently designed.
When a woman brings her baby into a space where she feels safe, free, and empowered, she is transformed, marriages are strengthened, and generational family lines are forever changed.
I’m Karissa, a Christian Homebirth Doula based in Lancaster, PA
I’m in love with helping moms have their dream births in their own homes—it’s raw and hard, it’s natural and holy, and it’s simply beautiful.
Since the beginning of 2023, I’ve helped over 200 couples through their birth journey by teaching childbirth classes and supporting labor & deliveries. Each one has taught me not only how incredible women are, but also how sacred and unique each birth is.
In a world where birth is overmedicalized, fear and anxiety going into birth are normal. Regardless, no matter what type of birth a woman wants to have, I believe it is important to protect her space, advocate for her, and hold space for God to move (and this is what I get most excited about)!

A doula will help you know how to have that. As a doula, I will show you during pregnancy what you can do to support your body for a better birth and better recovery. I will answer your questions and will teach your husband how to prepare, so he can also be confident going into birth. During labor, I’ll show up with tools and resources to help you go through the toughest parts.
I’ll turn you to the Lord and encourage you to seek Him on the decisions He wants you to choose. I will stand with you in your choices and offer guidance for a smoother birth. I will be there in your first few months postpartum so you have a solid place to turn for your questions in the middle of the night.
