HOME OR HOSPITAL?
It’s difficult to attempt a natural birth in a hospital because it is fundamentally a different mindset than homebirth.
BIRTH IN THE HOSPITAL is designed to manage risk and respond quickly when something goes wrong. They are prepared for the worst. Although needed in certain situations, when every pregnancy is treated as high risk, even the low-risk pregnancies (most pregnancies), it leads to many unnecessary interruptions to the natural process of labor.
PHYSIOLOGICAL BIRTH AT HOME relies on trust—trust in the body, in the woman, and our Creator. Physiological birth requires patience, privacy, and a sense of safety.You’ve likely seen beautiful birth photos or videos online, but a peaceful, worshipful, physiological birth doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when a woman is supported in an environment that allows her body to do what it was designed to do.
This foundational difference is why many women feel friction when trying a natural birth in the hospital. One side is focused on managing outcomes, liability, and making money; the other is focused on presence, intuition, and allowing labor to unfold the way God intelligently designed.
So choose a provider who not only “supports” your preferences, but also that your preferences are their normal routine care.
When a woman brings her baby into a space where she feels safe, free, and empowered, something powerful happens. Mothers are transformed. Marriages are strengthened. Generational family lines are forever changed.

Each one has taught me, not only how incredible women are, but also how sacred birth is!! As I sit with women through labor, when the Spirit of the Lord is invited in, let me tell you, His presence is so near!
In a world where birth is overmedicalized, fear and anxiety are ramped up. Regardless, no matter what type of birth a woman wants to have, I believe it is important to protect her space, advocate for her, and hold space for God to move (and this is what I get most excited about)!
